Become a Dorset Scrapstore Volunteer
The Dorset Scrapstore relies on its volunteers. Our volunteers help in the day to day running
of the store in a great number of ways; they keep the store's shelves and bins full;
they help our members with advice on use of materials and projects; they operate the till;
they work in our warehouse sorting and preparing the materials before they are put on display;
they unload our van and store the donated materials; they operate our computer keeping membership
records up to date. The volunteers also help out events such as the Larmer Tree Festival and the
Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival where we provide children's activities and games; also at our workshops
that we provide for both adults and children.
Would you like to be one of our volunteers, helping us to provide the best services we can to our members
at the same time knowing that we are helping the environment too? If you would like to join us
please contact us at Puddletown so that we can see how best you can help us and we can help you.
Supplying Materials
Our materials are mainly donated from industry, commerce or individuals. We are constantly
on the lookout for more materials to widen the range that we offer, as well as bolster our
existing supplies. Some things are not always suitable for the Scrapstore and we do not take
second-hand furniture or electrical equipment (including computers), but if you think that you
have something we may be able to use please contact us and we will discuss this with you.
