What's in Store?
Below you will see a list of some of the materials that we regularily hold. The list
is not comprehensive and is only intended to give a flavour of the range of choice available.
Some materials we have a constant supply of, either from local industries or from regular
swaps with other scrapstores. Other materials are one-offs and once they're - they're gone.
- Sticky-backed Plastic - in black, white and an assortment of colours.
- Banner Material - this is a heavy duty vinyl material in different colours and sizes.
- Fabrics - a wide range of furnishing materials, bolts of cloth, fleece, cotton prints, fake fur, etc.
- Rip-Stop Fabric - a light but very strong material used for windsurfer and yacht sails.
- Paper and Card - in various qualities, sizes and colours, ranging from packets
of A4 sheets to small leaves in pastel shades, from memo pads to large gold and silver card,
including good quality tracing paper.
- Carboard Sheets, Boxes & Tubes - the sheets are in different sizes and some
are corrugated; the boxes range from small, display-packaging types to the large, strong ones used
for transporting and storing products; the tubes are of varying lengths, diameters and robustness.
- Foam - in sheets and blocks, in a range of colours and sizes.
- Rope & Netting - the rope is mainly made from synthetic materials and is white,
whereas the nets are made from natural fibres as well as nylon and other synthetics, and come in
various sizes and colours.
- Containers - plastic pots, jars, bottles, trays, film canisters, buckets, bins and tubs.
- Wool - in small balls, skeins and packets of six; for knitting, embroidery and carpets.
- Haberdashery - buttons, buckles, zips, ribbons in velvet and satin, elastic, braid and fringing,
broderie anglais etc.
- Wood - this is mainly marine ply in sometimes odd shapes, but other soft and hardwoods
are available.
- Miscellaneous - plastic tubes; paper and platic straws; leather and sheepskin;
coloured cellophane; reels of foil in gold, silver, and multicolours; paper filter material;
screw tops for containers in gold, silver and other colours; plastic moulded parts including knobs
and headlamp protectors.
