HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT

Dorset Scrapstore aims to reduce, re-use and recycle industrial waste by encouraging individuals, community groups and schools to be creative with the waste that we collect. 

The community benefits not only by having access to a variety of unusual arts and crafts materials - which would often otherwise go straight to landfill sites - but also by improvement to the environment.

OUR SUPPLIERS
Dorset Scrapstore reclaim materials from environmentally-minded industries and then sell it to our members to re-use or 'up-cycle' into other things. We say a

TYPES OF MATERIALS
Many people that visit our scrapstores are overwhelmed by the items industry throws away. The materials we collect are of good quality, particularly the fabrics, mount board and paper. Browse some pictures of our different types of Scrap Materials - you may be surprised!

DONATE MATERIALS
We ask local businesses and industry to consider the type of waste that is generated through their enterprise, and whether it consists of Suitable Materials for use in art, craft, education and play. We are able to collect items free of charge in order to make these available to our members.
