Membership Terms and Conditions

We want you to enjoy visiting Dorset Scrapstore and to benefit from the materials which have been donated to us (often diverted from landfill). To help us ensure fairness to all our members, we ask you to comply with the following:

1. Scrap materials are intended solely for use by you, the person named on the card. They must not be used for commercial gain or sold on.

2. You must accept full responsibility for the Health & Safety of yourself and others when collecting, handling, distributing and supervising the use of materials collected from Dorset Scrapstore.

3. When in store only take what you need, abide by any limits and be respectful to other members and staff.

4. You must present your membership card, or suitable ID, when visiting the Dorset Scrapstore. Do not lend you membership card to non-members or collect items for other groups of individuals.

5. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their welfare and behaviour as in 3. above.

6. You agree to indemnify Dorset Scrapstore against all claims, demands, expenses, proceedings, costs and charges whatsoever in respect of any loss, damage or injury which may occur to any person or property by or arising in connection with any materials supplied by Dorset Scrapstore.

Dorset Scrapstore reserves the right to refuse membership or entry to the store for any reason, also to suspend or cancel membership if these Terms & Conditions are contravened. Anyone wishing to challenge an admission or membership decision should write to The Dorset Scrapstore Trustees, Unit 23, Cortry Close, Poole, BH12 4BQ; their decision will be final.

As you have provided us with some personal information, it is important you know we respect it. We only collect what we need and we store it securely. We don’t sell your data to anyone and you can request its removal at any time. We send out the occasional email, if you don’t want them, please unsubscribe. Terms & Conditions of Attending Dorset Scrapstore Workshops

We want our members to enjoy attending our workshops. To help ensure fairness to all our members we ask you to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. Thank you.

1. Payment must be made in full at the time of booking to confirm a place on the workshop. 2. Workshops are reserved for members of Dorset Scrapstore only. Members attending Dorset Scrapstore workshops present their card. Members should not lend their card to non-members.

3. If a workshop place is cancelled by a student up to 7 working days before the class, a full refund will be issued, if it is less than 7 days we will transfer the place to another workshop.

4. If you are booked on a workshop and do not turn up on the day then no refund or transfer will be given.

5. We reserve the right to cancel or move a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances including illness.

6. The workshop places are limited. At least 4 students are required to run an adult workshop and at least 10 students are required to run a family workshop. In the event of under-subscription, workshops may be cancelled or postponed.

7. If a workshop has to be cancelled and cannot be re-scheduled we will offer a full refund. We will email or phone you as soon as possible to let you know.
